Object Name Flask, Powder
Description Copper powder flask used by either Henry William Schuette or Henry John Schuette during the Civil War in 105th Infantry Regiment of Illinois Volunteers. According to the muster roll records, Henry William Schuette was 19 years old and promoted to Corporeal. He was wounded in action at Kenesaw Mountain (Georgia) and discharged at St. Louis, MO on April 1st, 1865. Henry John Schuette was 22 years old and mustered out of service on June 7th, 1863 in Washington D.C. Both were mustered in during September of 1862 in Dixon, Illinois. William and John were brothers to Henry Casper Schuette.
