Elk Grove High School Marching band jacket worn by John Connolly, c 1978-1980.
Made from polyester with liner and zipper up the front. Front side is green with gold diagonal sash/stripe across chest. Gold epaulets on each shoulder. Backside features "EG" on white fabric. This marching band jacket style was first introduced in 1978 and continued to be used until 1988, when the style changed to a button-up front with the word "Gren" embroidered across the sash.

|Notes||This jacket was used by John Connolly, who participated in the Elk Grove High School marching band under the direction of Doug Peterson and Gary Parker. Connolly moved to Elk Grove from River Grove and started in the marching band during his sophomore year in 1978. The Marching Band consisted of band students who played in the Concert and Symphonic bands. They frequently were played at professional Chicago Bears football games at Soldier Field.|
