Description Quilted wall hanging made by Carol Moses as a raffel prize for the Elk Grove Historical Society's Pioneer Days event. Image depicts an applique horse barn that serves as part of the Elk Grove Historical Museum framed with a variety of vegetables. Quilt includes "Pioneer Days September 8, 1985 Elk Grove Village Illinois" stitched above the barn applique. The artist name, "Carol Moses," is stitched near the bottom.

Notes Carol Moses was a local resident who taught quilting classes for the Elk Grove Park District. Her interest in quilting started in the mid 1970s. She was best known for the quilts she sewed for the Elk Grove Historical Society's annual Pioneer Days event in September. She often sewed historical, local scenes as a way of preserving history.
