|Notes||Mary Ostrowski built and owned the first home in Itasca in the Itasca Meadow subdivision in Elk Grove Township near Elk Grove Village, and was the first one on Lincoln Street in 1950. Itasca Meadows is South of Biesterfield Road, just west of the Alexian Brothers Hospital bordered on the west by the Expressway I-290 and on the south by farmland. She lived without electricity for a year before power was brought in, and Ed Modor followed with his house and was a strong factor in getting the electric company to bring lines into the area.|
